TalkIDE ("TalkIDE," "we," "us," or "our") is a voice-driven, AI-powered development environment that lets developers and non-technical users build, edit and ship software by speaking and typing in natural language. We are a United States–based company committed to protecting the privacy and security of your data while we help you turn conversation into working code.
This Privacy Policy ("Policy"), available at https://talkide.app/privacy, explains how we collect, use, share and otherwise process personal information from users and visitors ("User," "you," or "your") of our website, application and services (collectively, the "Services"). It is intended for users located in the United States. By using the Services, you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Services.
1. Personal Information We Cover
For purposes of this Policy, "personal information" (as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act/Privacy Rights Act, the Florida Digital Bill of Rights and similar U.S. state laws) means information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked with a particular individual or household.
Personal information we process may include your name, email address, username, payment details, device or browser identifiers, IP address, authentication tokens, usage and telemetry logs, voice recordings or transcripts and project artifacts (such as natural-language prompts, code you generate and deployment configurations) created through your use of the Services.
TalkIDE does not intentionally collect sensitive personal information — such as Social Security numbers, financial account credentials, precise geolocation, or health information — and instructs users not to upload such information.
2. Collection & Use of Information
Information you provide directly. When you create an account, purchase a subscription, contact support, or otherwise use the Services, you may supply personal information such as your name, email address and payment information (processed via our payment provider Stripe). We do not store full payment-card details; Stripe is the source of truth for billing records. You also provide project artifacts — prompts, voice input, code snippets and configurations — which are used to operate your workspace.
Information collected automatically. When you interact with the Services, we automatically collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, pages or features accessed, timestamps and error logs.
Usage & analytics data. We record how you engage with key features (for example, voice commands issued, prompts submitted, code generated, build and deployment events). If you authorize a third-party integration, we access only the minimum data required to provide that integration.
3. How We Use Information
- Service delivery & support — operating the platform, including voice transcription, code generation, debugging and deployment.
- Service integrity — ensuring security and preventing fraud or unauthorized access.
- Service improvement & research — analyzing usage data and generated code to refine features; where feasible, performed on de-identified or aggregated data.
- Personalization — tailoring the Services to your preferences and prior prompts.
- Product updates & limited marketing — sending announcements and communications you have opted to receive and measuring their effectiveness.
- Legal & regulatory compliance — meeting our obligations under applicable U.S. law.
We collect only the personal information necessary for these purposes and retain it in line with the schedule in Section 9.
4. Voice & AI Data Handling
TalkIDE converts your spoken input into text and routes prompts to third-party AI providers to generate code and responses. When you use voice and AI features:
- Voice input is captured to produce transcripts that drive the Services. We retain raw audio only as long as needed to generate a transcript and improve recognition quality, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
- Prompts and outputs are transmitted to third-party AI providers — including OpenAI, Anthropic and Google — for processing on a pass-through basis. We do not store raw prompts or responses unless you save them in your workspace.
- By using these features, you consent to such transfers under the privacy policies of those providers. We do not control their data practices and encourage you to review their policies.
Your project artifacts are used to serve your workspace and, once anonymized or aggregated, may be used to improve our Services. We do not use raw or identifiable personal information to train general-purpose AI models that benefit other users without your permission.
5. How We Share Information
We share personal information with the following categories of recipients and we do not sell your personal information for money:
- Service providers and sub-processors — including Stripe (payment processing) and OpenAI, Anthropic and Google (AI model processing), as well as our cloud hosting, customer support and analytics providers, each engaged to perform services on our behalf and bound by contractual obligations to protect your information.
- Legal and safety disclosures — to comply with a valid legal process or government request, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of TalkIDE, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
6. "Sale" and "Sharing" of Personal Information
Certain U.S. state laws, including the Florida Digital Bill of Rights and the California CCPA/CPRA, define "sale" and "sharing" (for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising) broadly. TalkIDE does not sell your personal information in exchange for money. If we use third-party advertising or analytics technologies that may qualify as "sharing" or "targeted advertising," we will disclose that here and provide an opt-out mechanism. We honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control where required.
7. Information Security
We implement reasonable, industry-standard safeguards to protect your personal information, including:
- Data in transit — traffic between your client and our servers is protected with industry-standard encryption.
- Data storage — encryption at rest with secure key management; pseudonymization or anonymization where feasible.
- Access controls — role-based access, multi-factor authentication and regular reviews.
- Security monitoring — real-time monitoring and centralized logging.
- Incident response — we will notify affected users of a security breach as required by the Florida Information Protection Act and other applicable U.S. state breach-notification laws.
No method of transmission or storage is fully secure and our Services rely on third-party providers whose availability and security we cannot guarantee. Please keep your account credentials confidential and enable multi-factor authentication.
8. Cookies & Tracking
We and selected partners use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to operate, secure and analyze the Services. We deploy:
- Strictly necessary cookies — support sign-in, session routing, fraud prevention and consent storage.
- Analytics & performance cookies — measure feature adoption and diagnose errors. We honor opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control.
- Functional cookies — remember preferences such as language, theme and layout.
- Marketing cookies — enable conversion tracking and campaign measurement, where used.
You can manage or withdraw cookie preferences at any time through your browser controls or an authorized browser signal such as Global Privacy Control. Disabling non-essential cookies will not affect core functionality.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes in this Policy or as required by law — to provide and improve the Services, comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.
Log data is retained for up to 30 days. Upon account termination, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required for fraud prevention, legal compliance, or legal defense. Backups may retain data for up to 30 days. To request deletion, contact us as described in Section 13.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence — including Florida, California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas and other states with active consumer-privacy laws — you may have some or all of the following rights, subject to legal limits and verification:
- Right to know / access — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, used and disclosed.
- Right to delete — request deletion of personal information, subject to exceptions.
- Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to portability — request a copy of your personal information in a portable format.
- Right to opt out — opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising.
To exercise these rights, email privacy@talkide.app. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days, with one possible extension as permitted by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision; we will respond to appeals within the period required by your state's law.
California "Shine the Light": California residents may request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. TalkIDE does not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.
11. Children's Privacy
The Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child without verifiable parental consent, we will promptly delete it. If you believe we may have collected such data, contact us at privacy@talkide.app.
12. No Coding Advice
The Services provide AI-assisted tools that generate or suggest code, but they are not a substitute for professional software-engineering judgment. You remain responsible for reviewing, testing and validating any code or configuration produced by the platform. Reliance on generated output is at your own risk.
13. Links to Other Sites; Notices
The Services may include links or integrations to third-party services we do not control, governed by their own privacy policies. By using the Services, you consent to receive transactional or administrative communications — account alerts, security notices and billing messages. You may opt out of non-essential marketing emails at any time via the "unsubscribe" link or your account settings.
14. Governing Law
This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except where a state consumer-privacy law grants you rights that apply regardless of this choice. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida, unless otherwise required by applicable mandatory law.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or the Services. We will post any revised Policy at https://talkide.app/privacy and update the "Last Updated" date above. For material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice by email or in-product notice. Your continued use of the Services after the new Policy takes effect constitutes acceptance.
