Getting started

What is TalkIDE?

TalkIDE is an AI-powered platform for building and deploying real web applications. Not mockups, not prototypes, but working products with custom logic, real data, and real hosting. You describe what you want to build, and TalkIDE builds it, deploys it, and shows you exactly what it costs.

Who is TalkIDE for?

Three groups get the most out of it:

  • Founders and business owners who want to test and ship an app without a large engineering budget or a six-month timeline.
  • Consultants and agencies who build client tools and want to compress delivery time without sacrificing quality.
  • Developers who want to work at the level of architecture and logic instead of boilerplate and configuration.

If you've ever been burned by an AI builder that produced something great in the demo but fell apart before launch, TalkIDE is built specifically for that problem.

How do I get access?

Join the waitlist at talkide.app. Invites are going out in waves. When yours arrives, you have 48 hours to activate the Early Adopter BOGO Pass (see below).

Do I need to know how to code?

No. TalkIDE is designed for both technical and non-technical builders. You describe what you want (the functionality, the user flows, the data) and the platform handles the implementation. Some users write zero code. Others write plenty. What they have in common is that they spend their time on the problems worth solving, not on configuration.

Pricing & billing

How does TalkIDE pricing work?

Two charges, nothing else:

  1. Tokens: the AI model usage that powers your builds.
  2. Compute: the hosting costs while your app is running.

No monthly fee. No subscription. No seats. No platform charge. You pay for what you use, and you can see exactly what that is before anything runs.

How do I pay?

Through a wallet you top up in advance. Top up in packs: $20, $50, $200, or $1,000. The wallet is denominated in dollars. You see your balance at all times.

Will I get any surprises on my bill?

No. Every action shows you a cost estimate before it runs. "Build this CRM: estimated $76–$95." There's a live cost meter during the build and a hard stop at the estimate ceiling before the platform asks if you want to continue. Your itemized history shows every build and every dollar, exportable as CSV.

What does a typical build cost?

It depends on complexity. A simple internal tool or client portal might cost a few dollars in tokens. A more complete application with auth, a database, and custom logic will cost more. Compute costs depend on the infrastructure your app runs on and how long it's running. We'll publish real build examples with receipts as early users share theirs.

What happens if a build fails or doesn't work as expected?

Retry logic is built in. The first retry within a session is at-cost or free; we eat our margin on genuine failures. We don't charge you full price for a build that didn't produce what you asked for.

Is there a monthly fee at all?

No. The wallet is the relationship. No subscription gate, no tier you have to unlock. This is a deliberate choice. We think you should pay for what you actually get, not for access to a dashboard.

What TalkIDE can build

What kinds of apps can TalkIDE build?

Web applications with real functionality: internal tools, client portals, CRMs, dashboards, MVPs, SaaS prototypes, booking systems, data entry and reporting tools. Applications with custom business logic, real databases, authentication, and the ability to grow with your needs.

What TalkIDE is not
  • A drag-and-drop page builder
  • A template marketplace
  • A tool for building marketing landing pages (though it can do that too)

If the thing you want to build needs to do something (store data, run logic, respond to users), that's the right fit.

Can the apps TalkIDE builds actually go to production?

Yes. This is the point. About 70% of apps built with AI tools stall after the demo. They can't handle real users, real data, or real deployment. TalkIDE is built to close that gap. Your app is deployed to real infrastructure and gets a real URL the moment it's ready.

What's the "last 20%" you mention?

Every builder, whether it's an AI tool, an agency, or a freelancer, tends to produce something that works in isolation but breaks under production conditions. Auth integrations that aren't quite right. Infrastructure assembled prompt-by-prompt. No clear path when you hit the ceiling.

TalkIDE addresses this two ways: the platform is designed for production from the start, and the TalkIDE team is available as a safety net if you hit a wall that the tool alone can't clear.

Hosting & deployment

Where do my apps run?

On managed cloud infrastructure. TalkIDE provisions and manages everything on your behalf: compute, databases, storage, bandwidth. You see the cost; we handle the ops.

Do I need to set up any infrastructure?

Not to start. TalkIDE handles all provisioning. As the platform matures, advanced users will be able to connect their own infrastructure if they prefer.

Can I take my app and host it somewhere else?

Yes. The generated application is yours. You're not locked into our infrastructure.

What happens to my app if I stop using TalkIDE?

Your code is yours. Your data is yours. You can export everything. We'll give you clear options and at least 30 days notice before any changes that affect running apps.

Compared to other tools

How is TalkIDE different from Lovable, Bolt, or Replit?

The core differences:

TalkIDELovableBoltReplit
Pricing modelWallet, pay-as-you-goCredits, subscriptionToken tiers, subscriptionSubscription + overages
Cost estimate before buildYesNoNoNo
Live cost meterYesNoNoNo
Real production deploymentYesPartialPartialPartial
Human team availableYes (Build Assist)NoNoNo

The structural difference: Lovable charges per credit without telling you what each action costs before it runs. Bolt sells token tiers with no per-task visibility. Replit charges a subscription and then bills additional usage on top. TalkIDE shows you the estimate, runs the meter, and sends you a receipt.

Is TalkIDE a "no-code" tool?

We avoid that label because it undersells what's happening. The goal isn't to remove code from the equation. It's to raise the level at which you operate. Some users never write a line of code. Some do. What they share is that they spend their time on what matters.

Is this just another vibe-coding tool?

TalkIDE is positioned as "vibe coding done right." The difference is production readiness. Most tools in this category build demos beautifully and fall apart when you try to ship. TalkIDE is designed from the start for apps that actually run.

Build Assist (human help)

What is Build Assist?

Build Assist is access to the TalkIDE engineering team when you hit something the tool alone can't clear. If your build stalls at the last 20% (a tricky integration, a production issue, an architecture decision), you can book a paid session directly from the TalkIDE dashboard.

How much does Build Assist cost?

Billed at an hourly rate, sold in blocks. Available as an add-on from the same wallet you use for builds.

Is this just support? Or something more?

More. It's a productized engineering engagement, not a help desk. Think of it as on-call senior development capacity, positioned between "I built it myself" and "I hired an agency." For users who repeatedly need Build Assist, it's also a natural path into TalkIDE's deeper engagement tiers (including equity-based arrangements for the right projects).

The Early Adopter BOGO Pass

What is the Early Adopter BOGO Pass?

When your waitlist invite arrives, you have a 48-hour window to make any credit purchase. If you do, every future credit purchase is matched 100%, permanently.

  • Buy $20 → receive $40
  • Buy $100 → receive $200
  • Buy $500 → receive $1,000

Every time. No codes, no forms. The match happens automatically.

Why 48 hours?

It ensures the people who get the pass are the ones who are ready to build, not just curious. You don't need to buy a large amount. Any purchase activates the pass.

Is the BOGO Pass really permanent?

It's tied to your account as a founding member benefit, not a one-time coupon. We reserve the right to modify the program in the future, but we'll always give at least 30 days notice, and any credits you've already accumulated remain valid regardless of any changes.

Privacy, security & data

Where is my data stored?

On managed cloud infrastructure. Specific data residency options will be documented as they're finalized.

Is TalkIDE compliant with privacy regulations?

We are building with compliance as a first-class concern, not an afterthought. The platform is operated by We Build Software LLC, based in Pompano Beach, FL, USA. Full compliance documentation will be published before general availability.

Who owns the code and data in my apps?

You do. TalkIDE generates code on your behalf, so that code is yours. Your data lives in your provisioned infrastructure. We don't claim ownership of anything you build.
